Well, the tournament came and went, I put up a good fight but was defeated each game. My opponents whom I have had multiple friendly games with before, told me that I have improved significantly and that they really had to work for their wins. All in all I had a very good time.
Now that the tournament is over I have started to work on my Gargant again.
If anyone wants some additional pics, let me know. Also I will be uploading pictures of the third big trakk tomorrow.

Turret Time
Well I sat down yesterday and finished the second big trakk enough for the tournament.
Now I still have to put big shootas on the first big Track and build a third big trakk. Oh yeah, and 11 orks too.

Time is running out
Less than a week of time remaining and I still have yet to build a turret for the second big trakk and even start on the third one.
So, while I was starting to build a turret for the trakk, I realized I was not completely happy with how turret would be mounted. So I re-built part of it and this is what i have after fiddling around for about an hour.

At the moment the gaps will stay as they are because I'm short on time before the tournament. Dont worry after the tournament I will finish it.
As far as the turret I'm not really sure how I'm going to build it we'll see how things come together.

Quick update and some progress
So for some reason I got the date of the tournament mixed up. As previously stated I was under the impression that it would be on the 16th but I was wrong, it's going to be on the 23rd. What makes the whole situation stranger is that I had the date marked correctly on the calender. Well it just gives me more time to get ready. Speaking of getting ready, I've almost finished my second big trakk.
I still have to build a suitable turret for it but that should not be a problem.

Progress!
So, I have made some good progress on my second big trakk.
The start of a 'moar skoakeh exost'! |
As you can see it still needs a lot of work, but it's certainly coming along and I should have it done by tomorrow (or I had better have it done by tomorrow so i have time to build the third big trakk.)
No progress on bender yet. but I now only have 11 boyz left to assemble for the tournament.

A while Back I found a small bag in a box of bits i bought. What was in that bag? Well, in that bag was a 6 part pewter bender model. My dad loves futurama and his favorite character is bender, so what better to do with it than assemble it, paint and mount it in a chessex dice cube as a display case and give it to him for fathers day.
I didnt think of taking pics of it while it was un-assembled but i did take one after i put it together.:
Pics will follow throughout the week updating the progress on it and the final touches to my a fore mentioned 2500 point tourney army.

Well, Next Saturday is going to be interesting, the friendly local game store will be having a 2500 point warhammer 40k tournament and I will actually be participating. I usually don't for a variety of reasons but its been a couple of years since I last played in one and I've gotten a lot better at 40k in that time.
So, Who wants to see my list?

I have my work cut out for me. I still have to finish two big trakks and start a third. I have to finish assembling 4 lootas and will be borrowing the third squad from another ork player. I also still have about 39 boyz to assemble.
Oh and just a note in case anyone was wondering, the 3 big trakks are not being taken as a squadron.

First Post
Welcome to It Came From The Bitz Box. I suppose for this first post I'll show you my current projects that I'm working on.
This is the start of a Mekboy gargant that will be mounted on tracks (I always like that look). I know it isn't much to look at right now but hopefully as time goes on and the build progresses It will get better.
This is a work in progress (WIP) Big Trakk with supa-kannon. The partial roll cage thing is going to have some plasticard glued to it (some will have rivets others will be made to look tack-welded)
The tracks came from a Tamiya Sherman kit I picked up at a church 'rummage' sale for $2 a couple years back.
Another view of the big trakk. This time showing the Recoil absorbers at a better angle.
I have a bunch more pictures that show some of the builds I have not touched in a while (or have already finished), Here.
If you have any comments on these images please feel free to leave them here. Any comments for the images in the dakkadakka gallery please leave on dakkadakka.
